Abdullah A Khayari has a Bachelor's degree in Electric & Electroclinic-Power from Sultan Qaboos University and Master’s in Business Administration from Bedfordshire University, UK. He has experience of 22 years of work in Petroleum Development Oman (PDO). Currently he is working as Electrical Discipline Head in (PDO) managing Electrical discipline standards, people development and design assurance.

Mr. Yousuf Mohammed Al Mahrooqi joined the Company in June 2023 as general manager of corporate affairs. Mr. Al Mahrooqi is also a member of [the internal tender committee] within the Company. Prior to his current role, he was in Acting Chief Distribution Officer at MEDC, and he has previously held roles within the Company in Regulatory, Compliance and Corporate Planning, Operation Manager, Senior Manager Projects Delivery. Mr. Al Mahrooqi has also held the position of [Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)] Chairman for Nama Improvement Committee. Mr. Al Mahrooqi has a Master of Science in network planning from Sultan Qaboos University, Oman since 2012 and a Master of Research in business administration from Liverpool University, UK since 2016.
Professor in Electrical & Computer Engineering Department, Sultan Qaboos University
Abdullah Al-Badi received the degree of M.Sc. and Ph.D from UMIST, UK, in 1993 and 1998, respectively. He has published more than 200 publications and co-author one edited book. He carried out 46 research projects and consultancy (Main or co-investigator), with total attracted fund of +US$2.2 million. He is among the Stanford University’s World’s Top 2% Scientists for year 2021, 2022 and 2023. In May 2022 he received the Best Researcher Award and in May 2024 received the Proficiency in scientific publishing ِ Award during university day Sultan Qaboos University. He received from His Majesty the Sultan of Oman, the Royal Order of Commendation (Second Class) Recognition in the field of Research, Innovation and the Fourth Industrial Revolution, 11th January 2023. He is a Senior Member of the Institute of Electrical Engineering and Electronics, IEEE, USA and a consultant in Oman Society of Engineers. He was the chair for IEEE Oman Section (January 2020- Dec 2023). He is IEEE program evaluator for Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) and External Reviewer for Oman Academic Accreditation Authority (OAAA). In 2009 he was appointed as a Dean for the Deanship of Admissions and Registration, in Feb. 2014 was appointed as a Dean for the College of Engineering, and in 2019 he was appointed as Research Chair, Madayn for the Development of Industrial Estates and Free Zones. Currently he is a Professor in Electrical & Computer Engineering Department in Sultan Qaboos University.
Senior Vice President and Head, Siemens Grid Software Middle East & Africa
Ralf was appointed in January 2022 and has been in the forefront for grid software business in the Middle East since. As the Senior Vice President he is responsible for the grid operators and industries across Middle East in transmission and distribution control centers, AMI, grid planning, microgrids and EV charging management.
In his previous role as Global Product Manager for Energy Efficiency Analytics, Ralf was leading the way for SaaS product to derive energy and process efficiency measures from big data and AI analysis of energy consumption and process data in industrial and infrastructure processes.
He holds a Dr.-Ing in Thermoacoustic and Dipl.-Ing in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Aeronautical Engineering with majors in Fluid Dynamics and Thermodynamics.

Rashid Al Badwawi has a wide experience and track record of accomplishments (more than 28 years) which includes, but not limited to, strategic leadership, planning, studies, organizational management, project management, design, procurement, construction and commissioning of large-scale multi-discipline and complex projects mainly related to Oil and Gas Industry and Electricity sector in Oman.
• Current position: General Manager Green Hydrogen Project Support at Oman Electricity Transmission Company (OETC) since 21 April 2024.
• Prior experience: Previously Rashid held several positions at OETC, as Corporate Affairs General / Senior Manager from November 2021 till April 2024, Projects Planning Advisor (2017-2021), Senior Manager - Projects (2013-2017) and Strategic Planning and Projects Manager (2008-2013). He was Project Manager at Oman Power and Water Procurement Company (2005-2008) and Senior Project Engineer at Daleel Petroleum (2004-2005). He was Senior Electrical Project Engineer / Electrical Construction Supervisor at Petroleum Development Oman (“PDO”) (1995 -2005).
• Education: Ph.D. degree in Renewable Energy from the University of Exeter, U.K., in 2017. B. Eng. and M.Sc. degrees in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Sultan Qaboos University, Oman, in 1995 and 2001, respectively.
Head Renewable Energy, PDO
Eng. Mohammed Al-Lawati has a Master of Engineering Science from Western University in Ontario, Canada where he has also completed his bachelor’s in electrical engineering.
After a short tenure at Muscat Electricity Distribution Company, Mohammed joined PDO in 2010 as a power transmission supervisor where he was responsible to operate and maintain all the transmission assets within PDO network. Later, Mohammed moved into different roles within the power infrastructure department, electrical construction supervisor, power concept and planning engineer, power station project engineer, and lastly as a lead in the Renewable Energy section. He has been recently promoted to head the renewable energy initiatives within PDO.
Principal Technical Facilities - OQAE - Energy Excellence
Hilal is a principal technical facility in OQAE with more than 10 years of experience working in refineries and petrochemical industries. He graduated from Sohar University with a degree in chemical engineering. Hilal specializes in operations and energy efficiency of oil and gas processing units, including energy intensity benchmarking, energy auditing, and process analyses, as well as identifying opportunities for energy efficiency improvement and supporting the decarbonisation journey.

Eng. Abdullah Al Wahaibi currently serves as the General Manager of Voltamp Technology Solutions. He holds a Master's and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical & Computer Engineering, specializing in Power Systems & Energy from Sultan Qaboos University. Abdullah is a certified Energy Auditor by the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE) and the Authority for Public Services Regulation (APSR). He is also recognized as a Certified Consultant Engineer by the Oman Society of Engineers and is a Senior Member of the IEEE. Additionally, he is the Chair of the IEEE Power & Energy Society in Oman.
With over 15 years of combined experience in Power Engineering and Renewable Energy, Abdullah has worked across a wide range of sectors, including Government, Manufacturing, Industrial, Infrastructure, Oil & Gas, and Energy. His extensive expertise and leadership position him as a leading figure in the field, contributing to the advancement of energy solutions in Oman and beyond.
Chief Executive Officer, Siemens Oman
Jamie Hoyzer joined the Siemens apprenticeship program in 2002 and continued to work for the company in various roles in Germany, the UAE and Oman over the course of his career. He became the General Manager of Siemens in Oman in 2021 and was nominated as CEO of Siemens in Oman in September 2022.
Hoyzer is a seasoned manager with broad experience across the Siemens portfolio. In the past two decades, he has held multiple positions of increasing responsibility in management, production, finance, controlling, sales and tendering, customer relationships and project management.
As a business executive, Hoyzer is an advocate of implementing technologies in infrastructure and industries that transform our lives and protect our planet. His collaborative approach, working closely with both the government and the private sector, has facilitated the integration of Siemens solutions into Oman's infrastructure, furthering the nation's commitment to a greener and more sustainable future. University professor - Warsaw University of Technology
Marek Jasinski, PhD, and D.Sc. graduated with a master's degree from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at Warsaw University of Technology (WUT) in 2000 (with distinctionsfrom IEEE Poland Section (PS) and Association of Polish Electrical Engineers). Doctoral degree in the discipline of electrical engineering received from WUT in 2005, and habilitation (D.Sc. in 2018). The doctoral thesis was awarded by ABB.
From 2021 the head of the Industrial Electronics Division at the Institute of Control and Industrial Electronics,
Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Warsaw University of Technology. In 2019, he received a Professor position in the Industrial Electronics Division, Institute of Control and Industrial Electronics, WUT; in years 2008-2019 Associate Professor at WUT. His research focuses on the control of power electronics converters for drives and renewable energy sources. Currently, his research is focused on the control of Energy processing by means of Power ElectronicsIntelligent Converters Technology under distorted grid voltage and higher impedance of grids as well as on optimizing the topology and control of intelligent convertersused in different types of power plants raising energy from distributed renewable sources.
In 2009 he was with the Aalborg University within VESTAS Power Program (consultant). In 2013/2014 he had an internship at RWTH-Aachen University – E.ON Energy Research Center Power Generation and Storage Systems in Germany. In 2020 he spends one month as Temporary Associate Research Scientist at A&M Texas University at Qatar (TAMUQ), Smart Grid Center. He has coauthored two patents, three chapters in books and over 101-refereed journal and conference papers. He has taken a part in over 20 research, development and industry projects (of which five as project leader). In the projects,
he worked with industry, including TWERD Power Electronics, TRUMPF Huettinger, ABB, PSE. The results of some projects carried out together with the representatives of the industry have been implemented in the productio.
Dr. Jasinski has been invited to act as a reviewer and a member of the Evaluation Committees for doctoral theses, habilitation, and employment at universities in Poland, Spain, Finland, Estonia and Denmark. He has been the supervisor or co-supervisor for many engineering, master and doctoralthesis. Most students who graduated under his supervision are currently working in the chosen field and enjoying professional success. He is a Senior Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and currently holds the position of Chair of IEEE Poland Section (2024-) and Past Chair of the Industrial Electronics Society (IES) Student and Young Professional (YP) Activity Committee awarded in 2019 by IEEE YP Hall of Fame Award. In the years 2008 - 2012 he was Chair of the IES - Power Electronics (PELS) Joint Chapter IEEE PS. Under his supervision, the IEEE PS Joint IES-PELS Chapter received 2010 Chapter Activity Award. He is an Associate Editor in IEEE Industrial Electronics Magazine (IEM since 2016), IEEE Journal of Emerging and Selected Topics in Industrial Electronics (JESTIE since 2019), and IEEE IES Industrial Electronics Technology News (ITeN since 2020). He has revived publications in IEEE journals (among other Transactions on Industrial Electronics, Transaction on Power Electronics), other international journals and manuscripts at national and international conferences. He works as a reviewer with the Ministry of Science and Higher Education and the National Centre for Research and Development. He organized national and international seminars, workshops and conferences.
He has also chaired regular and special sessions on the integration of distributed energy sources of electrical power systems. He has received team Rector's Awards and other for his research results including the first prize for scientific and technical achievements of the Prime Minister (Poland) in 2017.

Yahya is a graduate of the Oman’s National CEO programme, a Chartered Engineer (CEng) holding an MSc in Project management, an MTech in Petroleum Technology, and a BEng. Honour Degree in Mechanical Engineering and is currently pursuing his DBA in Oman’s national renewable energy strategy.
Yahya’s career spans more than 20 years and involved all project life cycle from initiation to operation. He spearheaded all utility scale solar PV IPPs in the country so far.
Away from professional career, Yahya is a writer and author of 4 books in Arabic literature and intellect.

Lionel Rabin - Founded Haltiqa – Bridging Energies in 2018, a strategic advisory services company operating in Oman and UAE, focused on decarbonisation. Lionel has 20 years of experience in the MENA region in world scale utilities projects development (integration of hydrogen, water, power). He was the MD MENA region for the world’s largest hydrogen producer and supplier. Haltiqa contributed to Oman’s green hydrogen road map (EJAAD, The Research Centre, OQ, and MoEM), and carried out a decarbonization road map for a water company in Sohar and a green hydrogen and ammonia pre-feasibility study for OQ. Lionel is based in Muscat.
